City of Chico settles two workers compensation claims for nearly $170,000

The city of Chico has settled two workers compensation claims for nearly $170,000. The Chico City Council voted 6-0 in closed session to settle a claim with a field supervisor in operations and maintenance, for $107,537, and to settle a claim with a police officer for $62,350. Sonoma County receives $66K grant to combat fraud

The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office will have an additional $66,800 in funding to investigate and prosecute cases involving workers’ compensation fraud.
